Apraava Energy has been awarded two interstate transmission projects in Rajasthan under the GoI’s tariff based competitive bidding process. In line with the Transmission Service Agreement executed by the SPVs, the projects will be developed by Apraava under BOOT (build, own, operate and transfer) model. The projects are part of the scheme developed for the evacuation of 20 GW power from Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) in Rajasthan under Phase 3. These are Apraava’s first greenfield transmission projects.  

As required under the Electricity Act 2003, Apraava has filed the following petitions before the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission for the two greenfield transmission projects:

A1 Adoption of Tariff Petition_ CERC

A3 (Fatehgarh III Transmission Limited)

Additionally, on 25 October 2023, the Central Transmission Utility awarded additional responsibility to Fatehgarh IV Transmission Limited for the implementation of Bus Sectionalizer at 220kV level of 400/220kV Fatehgarh-IV PS (Section-1) in accordance with the Ministry of Power’s office order dated 28 October 2021. As required under the Electricity Act 2003 read with the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure, Terms and Conditions for Grant of Transmission License) Regulations 2009, Fatehgarh IV Transmission Limited has filed an application before the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission seeking grant of transmission license for the implementation of this additional responsibility.
