Youth Empowerment

Apraava Energy works towards addressing the skill gap amongst the rural youth and youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by supporting the students with training courses and vocational education through effective partnerships.

Key Initiatives

The Jai Jawan Raksha Academy is a state-of-the-art academy developed to train the youth of Haryana with a passion to serve the country.

To provide the right infrastructure for the youth to excel, Apraava Energy has developed Jai Jawan Raksha Academy in partnership with Deepalaya, near its JPL plant in Jhamri village of Haryana. The academy aims to provide structured academic and physical coaching for 250 youth every year who are aspiring to join the army, paramilitary and police forces.

The academy is constructed on five acres of panchayat’s land and operationalized in the year 2021-22. Its  infrastructure facilities include having well equipped classrooms, a library, an open ground, running track, chin-up and balancing beam for physical training and all other facilities required for quality training. Significantly, it has army retired coaches to train the youth as well.

This is part of the company’s commitment to nurturing the youth of India to lead tomorrow.

Apraava Energy partnered with Pratham Education Foundation to implement skill development programs targeting youth from their wind farms’ catchment locations in Maharashtra. Vocational training centers train youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in the age group of 18-30 years and provide them with employable skill sets, coupled with access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Under this partnership, disadvantaged youth are trained and placed in the field of Automotive, Beauty, Construction, Electrical, Healthcare, Hospitality, Plumbing and Welding.
