Know Apraava in Sign Language

At Apraava Energy, we are committed to promoting an inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone feels accepted and respected. Our #ActionAmbassadors (employees) are actively driving this commitment by engaging with various communities and raising awareness in society.

In line with this, we are proud of our employees for collaborating to create Apraava's first inclusive introduction in sign language, guided by sign language experts. This initiative provides the Deaf community with an overview of Apraava and its businesses, reinforcing our dedication to accessibility and inclusion.

Reflecting on this experience, Amit Mehta, SVP, Apraava Energy, shared, “This was a unique experience and a proud moment for me to execute the sign language introduction for Apraava. It was also an opportunity to learn the basics of sign language, and I'm happy that I can now confidently communicate with the Deaf community.”

Furthering our DE&I journey, we also hosted our first sign language workshop to deepen our commitment to inclusivity. The session focused on understanding the basics of Indian Sign Language and learning key signs to communicate effectively with the Deaf community. Participants, including our admin staff, hiring team, CSR professionals, and communications team—who serve as the first point of contact for Apraava—learned essential signs for greetings and commonly used words.

By taking these steps, we continue to build an environment where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels empowered to connect and contribute.
